Ranked among Europe’s best golf resorts, it blends technical challenge, natural beauty, and five-star service in an exclusive retreat just an hour from the French Riviera.
Located in the hills of Provence near Fayence, Terre Blanche Golf is a five-star golf resort offering two spectacular 18-hole championship courses designed by Dave Thomas: Le Château and Le Riou. These courses are set within a vast private estate that blends nature, luxury, and elite-level golf.
Le Château Course, open to resort guests and visitors, is a long and demanding layout designed for tournament play. Stretching over 6 600 meters, it features wide fairways, undulating greens, and dramatic elevation changes. Water hazards and large bunkers are strategically placed throughout, especially on the signature finishing holes. This course regularly hosts professional events, including the French Riviera Masters.
Le Riou Course, reserved for members and hotel guests, is slightly shorter and more technical. It flows across hillsides and plateaus, with tight landing zones and elevated greens. Though less physically imposing than Le Château, it offers a mentally engaging round, rewarding course management and shot accuracy.
Both courses are maintained to the highest standards and are GEO-certified for sustainable practices. Practice facilities are outstanding, including a multi-level driving range, short game areas, and a Leadbetter Golf Academy. The service level throughout the resort reflects Terre Blanche’s five-star positioning, with gourmet restaurants, a luxury hotel, and a world-class spa.
Terre Blanche offers more than just exceptional golf, it provides a complete luxury lifestyle experience surrounded by vineyards, forests, and Provencal charm. For golfers seeking both challenge and indulgence, it stands among Europe’s finest destinations.

Transfer to Cannes-Mougins Golf Club
Tucked away in the wooded hills above Cannes, the Cannes-Mougins Golf & Country Club is a prestigious private course designed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas. Surrounded by pine and oak forests, this refined 18-hole layout combines natural beauty with strategic design, offering a peaceful, championship-level golfing experience in the heart of the French Riviera.
Located just 15 minutes from the glamour of Cannes, the Cannes-Mougins Golf & Country Club offers a serene and luxurious golfing experience set in a private, forested valley. Designed in 1977 by the renowned duo Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, the course has long been considered one of the finest in southern France and a staple of Riviera golf. The 18-hole, par-72 course stretches across gently undulating terrain surrounded by mature pine, oak, and olive trees. It was carefully laid out to respect the natural topography and integrate the lush vegetation and peaceful streams that meander through the property. The fairways are generous but require precision due to well-placed bunkers, doglegs, and water features that come into play on several key holes.
The design favors strategic play over raw power, with narrow landing zones, elevated greens, and subtle slopes that demand thoughtful shot planning. The greens are large, fast, and beautifully maintained, their undulations requiring a keen eye and a confident putter. One of the course’s standout features is its variety: no two holes feel alike, and players are constantly required to adapt their game.
From 1980 to 2001, Cannes-Mougins hosted the Cannes Open, attracting some of Europe’s top professionals, including legends like Seve Ballesteros and Ian Woosnam. The course retains its championship character while providing a tranquil, exclusive atmosphere for members and invited guests. Beyond the course, the club offers high-end practice facilities, a refined clubhouse with panoramic views, and gourmet dining. With its perfect blend of strategy, scenery, and Riviera charm, Cannes-Mougins Golf & Country Club delivers a memorable golfing experience that appeals to purists and luxury travelers alike.

Transfer to Cannes Mandelieu Golf Club (Old Course)
Nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Siagne River, Golf Old Course Cannes-Mandelieu is the oldest golf course on the French Riviera, established in 1891 by Grand Duke Michael of Russia. Designed by the renowned architect Harry Shapland Colt, the course is set within a 74-hectare estate adorned with century-old umbrella pines, offering a serene and picturesque golfing experience. The 18-hole "Old Course" is a par 71 stretching over 5,749 meters, featuring flat terrain, tree-lined fairways, and strategic bunkering that challenge golfers of all levels. A unique feature of the course is the ferry crossing over the Siagne River between holes 2 and 3 and again between holes 12 and 13, adding a distinctive charm to the round.
Established in the late 19th century, Golf Old Course Cannes-Mandelieu holds a significant place in French golfing history. The course's design by Harry Colt incorporates traditional elements with a focus on natural beauty and playability. The fairways are flanked by majestic umbrella pines, requiring precise shot placement, while the greens are subtly contoured, demanding careful approach shots and putting.
The course's flat terrain makes it accessible to golfers of varying skill levels, yet the strategic placement of bunkers and the presence of water hazards, particularly on holes 13 and 18, introduce challenges that test even seasoned players. The ferry crossings over the Siagne River not only serve a practical purpose but also enhance the unique character of the course.
In addition to the main course, the club offers the 9-hole "Grand Duc" course, a par 33 measuring 2,118 meters, suitable for golfers seeking a shorter round or practice opportunities. The practice facilities include a putting green and a compact course, catering to players aiming to refine their short game.
The clubhouse, rich in history, provides a welcoming atmosphere with dining options that allow players to relax and reflect on their game. Its proximity to Cannes and the scenic surroundings make Golf Old Course Cannes-Mandelieu not only a place to play golf but also a destination to experience the charm of the French Riviera.
